The Cause of Causality
Why is not enough.
We need to know something, but it usually boils down not why, but to whom. The thought that even the worst of things must somehow be a part of the grand human scheme of things seems essential to our being. Even our gods are just humans with special powers. Our environment a cacophony of personification, we equate causality with “be‘cause somebody did it.” Everything from our pets to our natural disasters has human names.
How may we see beyond ourselves if we only see everything in terms of ourselves?
