Too Clever to Mind
Too Much to Know
They know what we don’t, neatly organized on the shelves. Stacks of facts, interlocking like pieces to a puzzle, their picture is complete. But what does it convey? And what do we see?
It is there but not believed, tangible but not perceived, rational but unrelieved. Their puzzle has more dimensions than can be conceived, more truths than can be retrieved.
Undaunted they persist despite what they missed. We do not feel their omission, so offer no contrition. We feel they are wrong while offering no . . . contribution.
Then we move beyond words, and actions purge. The problem remains even after the problematic are gone.
