Witnessing Change
America in the headlights
We live in a world of change; its movement swift. But much goes unnoticed. We standby without appreciating our inevitable evolvement, not just as individuals but as a whole. It is not the handwriting on the wall; it is the crumbling wall, which we dwell upon without noticing what lies beyond it.
The cycle of life encompasses all aspects, including civilizations. Great civilizations do not die; they become something else. The Assyrians and the Hyksos, the Mesopotamians and the Babylonians, the Han and Three Kingdoms, the Roman and the Byzantine and the Ottoman, the English and the American.
Transition at a price, the evolution of civilization was never easy or clearly foreseeable. Outcomes never met expectations, which were never very clear to begin with. One certainty, life goes on. What once was becomes what is to be.
